Wa surely ranks high in the list of the most criminal Ghanaian towns (probably in first position) but this awful reputation doesn't date from today.
Right back in the late 60s when I was a student at Wa the security situation wasn't any better. Seasonal workers heading down South or returning home were forced to transit at Wa where they were invariably robbed of their scanty valuable affairs by thugs. Armed robbery was already rampant at that time. I guess the security situation must have reached its culminating point so as to discourage teachers & especially medical personnel from accepting appoitments in that dangerous zone. The " alarm-call" blown by the citizens should draw the keenest attention of the Minister of Interior & the IGP. Wa should not continue to be Ghana's Chicago".

Right now fulani peopple who migrated to Ghana for better life has joined the fray. Unfortunately, our politicians has not seen the dangers ahead for allowing the fulanis to settle in Ghana. May be everyone should try to own gun now in Ghana for protection.

They become comfortable in their comfy zone, and acquire illegal wealth by bribery armed robbery and they still have conscience to live normal lives. Evil police, God will punish you from you to your twenty generations. The government should also get rid of ECOWAS. Ghana government sacked Nigerians some years ago. Nigerians have moved to live in Ghana with no good intentions. Nigerians are in Ghana to destroy the country by armed robbery. Anytime the robbers are caught they are Nigerians, I do not think this is coincident. Their intentions are to destroy the country. Ghanaians are not safe in our own country. The land is being destroyed by Chinese and and Ghanaians are being robbed and killed every day by foreigners. I do not hear that Chinese who have money are being robbed in Ghana by the robbers, why because Chinese pay big money to the police and the robbers are also not there because of Chinese but the robbers rather have score to settle with with the poor Ghanaians.
