Ghanaians are lazy, backward with no sense of aesthetic. Money does not do everything but Ghanaians believe in order to make things look beautiful you have throw big money at it.
The whole stretch of the motorway needs to be leveled nicely and three to four people employed with a tractor mower to keep the grass down.
With $4,000, a good tractor could be purchased for that purpose after all that terrain is neatly landscaped.
A highway that is making money by the seconds should not look this ugly. But if you have ugly people with ugly sense beauty in charge this is what you get.

There were three soccer players, one from Cape Coast University, KNUST, and University of Ghana Legon, standing on a burning buildings roof in Tema Motor way. The fire department came with a blanket and yelled to the Cape Coast player to jump. He jumped and they moved it to the right. He hit the sidewalk with a splat. They then called to the KNUST to jump. He said that he wouldn't jump. They said they liked KNUST better than Cape coast University. So he jumped and the fire department moved the blanket to the left. KNUST player hit with a splat on the sidewalk. Then they called to the University Of Ghana Legon player to jump. He said that he wouldn't jump. Irrespective of how, when and who set the fires, is the Ghana police and or fire departments not tasked with investigating fires and smoke anywhere in our cities/communities? These fires I am darn sure sent billows of smoke in the air and should have been seen by many including some police outfit.
We have a problem in Ghana that comes from government workers who get paid for no work but with nerves of brass monkeys to complain about low wages and the expectation of government subsidies to make life easier when we do not deserve any. When will we start taking responsibility for the beautification of our communities and or become our neighbor’s keeper?

Please don't link the burning to the cut poles. And this is a national asset so please people should stop doing politics with it. I strongly agree with the fellow who talked about Dr Apaak. He should take action before his toll and taxes on the motorway. And where is the so called national security. And the under equipped fire service and the poor old bill- the police. Ghanaians please let's change our attitude and behaviour because we don't need anyone to tell us to do that. And please when we talk about leadership it doesn't necessarily mean the president. It's about leadership in the whole set up. Did the person responsible for supervision do his/her work. What about the head of department. In Ghana we only have office sitting directors and managers. All they are interested in is new cars and undeserved allowances
