Author:-KWAA...The waste in our public expenditure, apart from what Government officials are stealing, can build dual carriage from Axim to Paga, create millions of jobs for our youths and build hundreds of schools for our kids. But nobody seems to care,if anybody accuses the sitting Government of corruption, somebody will jump to their defense that, the previous Government did worse. At times I think we deserve what we are getting from ourGovernment, namely hardships.

“In the last six years, the NDC has borrowed US$27 billion. Before that, we, the NPP, borrowed a total of US$5.5 billion in eight years. Compare that to the NDC borrowing $27 billion in six years and ask yourself what they have done with all that money,” the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo said.
He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.
“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”
“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

the bridge links to the central and western regions and finally ivory coast. i have never been to ivory coast..... but how far is the bridge to the nearest ivorian border ????? just like our head of state who travels the first day of the year...... sycophants comment to convince me. by the way could the number of travels accorded the president be limited...... the two hundred delegates (entourage) ghs as they are will do everything to convince the president. rawlings never killed enough as saul. may God forgive me...... for i am talking out of pain.
34 years in a foreign land..... and cant visit home because of basics. i have toiled enough..... sent enough money..... done everything......thank you jesus for having kept me alive amen..... i know a lot of ghs in diaspora who could easily relate to my story.

Compare this project to Kwame Nkrumah's Motorway. After all these years, the Motorway has most of its original pavement intact. Just shows how far back we have gone since Nkrumah's days.

PATCH WORK WILL NEVER DO.SHODDY WORK WAS DONE - MIXING LOWER AMOUNTS OF CEMENT WITH SAND, WRONG AMOUNT OF STONES, ETC. IF IT IS PATCHED UP THE BLOOD OF ANYONE WHO DIES ON IT MUST BE PUT ON THE HEAD OF THE CURRENT MINISTER. BIG SHAME. NOBODY SHOULD COME AND GIVE US LONG EXPLANATIONS WHY IT SHOULD NOT BE PULLED DOWN PLEASE. STARRFM MUST MONITOR CLOSELY WHATEVER IS DONE AS THEY BROUGHT THIS STORY TO LIGHT. IT IS THEIR SACRED DUTY TO MOTHER GHANA TO MAKE SURE THE RIGHT THING IS DONE. THEY SHOULD GET THE OPINION OF EXPERIENCED ENGINEERS AND EVEN FOREIGN ENGINEERS RATHER THAN LISTENING TO OUR HALF-BAKED ENGINEERS WHO SUPERVISED THIS PROJECT. BY THE WAY, GIVEN HOW FAST THE MALL ITSELF CAME UP, COULD IT BE THAT THERE WAS SHODDY WORK BRINGING SOME DISASTER ONE DAY? WE ARE WATCHING.
