The monies collected from workers have virtually disappeared, and that Thomson guy at SSNIT is not to be trusted. He is a vampire, and his brother is the other Thomson that was a CEO at STC, and has been removed this year by its workers for pension funds and other wrongdoings. Until the "Big" Thomson at SSNIT is also removed, the extent of the damage done to workers' pensions in this country will never be known. The monies have been misused under Mr. Thomson and SSNIT is bankrupt.
The only lasting solution to this standoff is to send BNI to SSNIT to investigate and unearth the stinking rot kept in their big cupboards. What they will find will send every Ghanaian into the street calling for "blood to flow". Unfortunately, the government itself seems to have a hand in the malfeasance, and that is a potential impediment that workers would have to face.
