Wasn't this same argument brought before the court of law by some up to no good NPP's apparatchiks to simply retard progress like always and got their bogus case against the Lonrho group undertaken the ongoing Atuabo Oil and Gas Freeport Project thrown out of court? Now then, come another group parading themselves as some Maritime and Dockworkers Union to hoodwink the masses whiles secretly doing their paymaster's job to their satisfaction.

When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

Yes sir, I can guarantee you the NPP MPs were doing a good job out there but because of pressure from the youth within the area they backed down ,it's really ashamed because the youth were treating to vote them out comes the next election a prove that most of our politicians are in politics just for their stomach, we all need developments, as a matter of fact our leaders are not straight forward because of corruption, greed and selfish interest, there's always a cover up in our dealing. Why do we have to violate the law of the land in a first instance ? I don't personally think all our book long people working at the Ghana port and harbour are dump enough to resist a development which will benefit the nation. We always give a lot of room for our politicians to loot us. Those three or four MPs backed off because they were scared of loosing their seat from the way the youth in that area were behaving. Project like this if we don't open our eyes we will regret forever and ever. Do you remember the Aveme rice project ? What is/ was the end ? There are group of people who has milked Ghana from that project and they millionairs now, remember of late one of the politicians was exposed saying her target was $ 1millon, where do you think she was going to make that money from ? We should not give our politicians too much room.

"Part of the commercial agreement of the project states with arrogance that , “ The Government of Ghana(GOG) shall not exercise , and shall use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that no Relevant Authority shall exercise , any discretion granted to it under the constitution of Ghana , any Applicable laws or otherwise in a manner which is arbitrary or discriminatory to the Project , the developer or any affiliate thereof.”
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this clause. The investor is simply asking to be assured due process under the law. In otherwise, they are seeking protection from the likes of this man - who may get up one morning and take over the port without regard to law. Definitely, this clause does not preclude any government from exercising its sovereignty. This is no different from what all law-abiding citizens can expect from their government.
These useless unions are simply annoying.

Be honest. You are fighting for a similar project with some Hongkong Investor from whom you all have chopped. He has been in and out Ghana with so-called designs but no money.
In any case, you are not able to manage the ports you control as of now. Even Tema Harbour is being managed by foreigners. There is no shortage of places to build ports. Just go and build yours somewhere else.
Nonsense!!!
