Has life become so hard in Ghana that some poor families cannot afford to claim their dead relatives from the morgue for burial?

FOYOOSIS, WISE MAN and BE BOLD. remember the 37 military hospital morgue is not a cemetery nor a museum. Death bodies can't be kept there forever. blame the families and not the government. Remember these are unidentified and unclaimed bodies. If you want your death relative to be kept in the morgue till thy kingdom, then go and identity it and start paying for the morgue fees and stop this dirty politics.

This is not about politics but some families simply cannot afford the economic burden of the funeral and that is why they do not want to claim the bodies of their loved ones. The rapid deceleration of the local currency is causing lots of hardship and i think you should accept that and stop defending the bad situation. No where have i written that the bodies should be kept there forever. My point is that the families cannot afford to bury the dead and has been since 2010. BE BOLD to accept that!

with this situation, there are people who still want to retain this government as if they have no conscience. The situation is so sad.

Its not a ghana or government problem... its a world/life problem... there are poor people everywhere in this world who are facing the same situation or even worse.

We should be grateful that we even have a hospital which is willing to keep the bodies for this long.

If possible give all their details, because some families may not know that their beloved ones are lying there. They may think they have travel abroad.

The Ministry of Health can keep these bodies and give them to the various medical faculties in the country for research.

I have a Norwegian Friend, Thomas Crespo who went over to Ghana in July 2011 on a Mining project. I have kept in touch with him until February 10 (my last correspondence with him) He was hospitalized in Dec 2013 from a car accident and suffered head injuries and a broken leg. But on Feb 10 our correspondence on the internet was disconnected and I have not heard from him since. An unrealiable source contacted me from Accra saying he had died, but I have no way of knowing this. He was a white male, approx. 58 years in age, 5'6 in height, blonde hair and in a cast. He shouldn't have been too hard to notice. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate a reply so I can get some closure on this.
