The rot actually started underKwasi Agyemang. Yes, he and Agyekum pulled down some structures at a certain point but eventually he allowed his friends and cronies to put up structures at the Old Playground (adehyeman Gardens). That began the scramble for unoccupied places in the city centre. That was when the Railway Station area was besieged by shoes vendors, hardware hawkers and others. Same with Prempeh II street, not too far from the Old GNTC and Dark and Lovely. Kwasi Agyemang set Kumasi on the path of terminal decline. I saw everything

Have you heard that a dying man will clung to a straw. These traders have no jobs but have to survive. They cannot afford the high rent advances demanded by landlords/ladies every year. What do they do? put up kiosks which also serve as their bedrooms. Have you thought of untold hardship coming on families whose only source of income is this trade. Is KMA not going to put in more prostitutes and armed robbers on the streets? Well, congratulate the KMA until Armed robbers attack your family. Those who must be punished are the top people.

Frank your attempts to justify and encourage criminal activities is very reprehensible.I do sympathize with people loosing their livelihood but using that as an excuse to turn to crime is not acceptable and must be condemned by all lawful citizens. We all understand that things are difficult but we are all doing the best we can without resorting to crime. One thing I can boldly say is that there are no unemployed farmers, so those who really need a job should turn their focus on that direction.

Farmer, What is illegal does not necessarily mean criminal. The authorities sat on theeir butts and allow all these structures to be put up. It did not take just a day to put them out. But for political expediency, they allowed these things to go on unpunished right from the start. Do you mean to say all of Sodom and Gomorrah shall be razed to the ground without alternatives made to resolve the issue? Was S and G put up overnight?
Yes, there are some people who want to be farmers but have no land, no capital etc. We cannot have farming as we used to have in the 50s and 60s. Who would want to do any serious farming now with a cutlass and hoe as the main implements? The youth we are churning out of the SHS do not have the money to buy the machinery. How many banks will even give out loans to youth who may want loans to undertake any serious agric venture? Go undercover and try. You will see the many bottlenecks. Addai, it is not even most of the people who have land to cultivate.
The Town Planning officers, IRS who take money from them, KMA who took taxes from such encroachers must be brought to book

Well, the originator of all-die-be-die is Nana Akuffo Addo. The Ashantis and Akyems rubbished God's command and supported the originator of this forbidden phrase. So do you expect God not to punish all those who supported Nana? Are soldiers not paid to protect Ghanaians from external aggression? Are they aware that it took the harassment of one Tunisian civilian by security forces to ignite a revolution? If Ghanaian civilians should one day arm themselves resist and fight against injustice and brutality, I am sure all these stupid so called soldiers will run away and hide as happened in Liberia and Sierra Leone. You guys should be careful about being deceived by NDC otherwise the country will soon sink into anarchy.
