A man decides to have a face-lift for his birthday. He spends $5,000 and feels really good about the results. On his way home, he stops at a newsstand and buys a paper.
Before leaving, he says to the sales clerk, "I hope you don't mind me asking, but how old do you think I am?"
"About 35," was the reply.
"I'm actually 47," the man says, feeling really happy.
After that, he goes into McDonalds for lunch and asks the clerk the same question.
The reply is, "Oh, you look about 29".
"I am actually 47."
Later, while standing at a bus stop, he asks an old woman the same question.
She replies, "I am 85 years old, and my eyesight is going. But when I was young, there was a sure way of telling a man's age. If I put my hand down your pants and play with your balls for 10 minutes, I will be able to tell you your exact age."
As there was no one around, the man thinks, What the hell and lets her slip her hand down his pants.
Ten minutes later, the old lady says, "Okay, it's done. You are 47."
Stunned, the man says, "That was brilliant. How did you do that?"
The old lady replies, "I was behind you at McDonalds."

The claim about his age is based on speculation "if what we got from central region was true..." PET there is nothing wrong with retirees working, i know many retirees that went back to join the workforce, they infuse our workplace with experience, you and i will soon get there. Anyway concerning his intimidation and harassment to other co-workers, such an abuse of power could be grounds for punishment or termination but not his age.

WILL THOSE SILLY TEACHERS ASK PRESIDENT MAHAMA TO GET RID OF ALL THOSE IN ALL OTHER DEPARTMENTS BORN AROUND THAT YEAR TO BE RETIRED?

If the law says all ghanaians should retire at the age of 60 with few exceptions why should this man continue to be at post while there are thousands of graduates unemployed willing to do the same much better and less pay.

Nana,
an employment contract is a legal binding, so if the contract says the employee MUST retire at the age of 60, then there are no exemptions.
Normally, after the retirement age, a person may work as a contractor, but NO LONGER as employee.
In the advanced countries, your name would be automatically removed from all payrolls the NEXT day after your retirement, so that you wont be paid if you choose NOT to retire.
You know what?
The general disrespect for LAW and ORDER is the greatest enemy of development in our poor nation.

This is Ghana Education Service for you, the cartel in the Ghana Education Service are at work and always stealing money with connivance with Headmaster and Bursars who are under invoicing and over invoicing. Take a look at the manner some heads are collecting bags of cement from prospective fresh students before giving out admission letters and the so called PET hasn't seen it but want to spleen their frustration on a poor Regional Director of Ashanti. Tweeaaaaa.

This is very serious! GES has kept too long in curbing this disparity. It is Mr. Sarfo Kantanka today because of his position, how sure are we that GES has unquestionable data on all its employees?

Most of the over-staffed teacher were done by the unit managers. I could remember, I was given my letter to my station from the unit office, the same letter was given to another lady to the same school. Meanwhile the needs school one teacher to fill a vacant position. Fortunately for me I presented my letter first before the other lady. The headmistress being fair and just said, I brought my appointment letter first, she could not accept the other lady's lady's letter. The manager at that time said the mistress should allow her to hang around for while as they were looking for a place for her. Meanwhile there were some places too that needed teachers at that time.
The lady was there for six months not teaching yet collected salary. She came to sign and hanged around, then went home.
Assuming the transfer was done by the metro office, the lady would be sent to a place where teachers were needed.
Please, let us look at this issue of transfer carefully. Ghanaians do not like the truth and hate a person who tries to do the right things.
