Luxury apartments full of politicians, and government thieves; who launder their ill- gotten wealth by buying $500 homes. How can any public/civil servant afford such luxury homes if the money is not stolen?

In the widest sense of the word slum no one wants to encourage their occurrence, but in Ghana's situation would regenerating the these slums by government be the solution? My concern is why had there been slums if the people could afford by themselves to build those apartments in the first place? Who are the slum dwellers? Would these people afford to own apartment after the regeneration of the areas? Where would they go to live in Winneba junction or Nsawam? Create cycle of slums? So the government should just put it this way that the slum lands are needed for first class or luxury seeking citizens and not the original dwellers - period! The answer must be putting in place proactive measures to curb slums in the first place.

It is our country and we ought to claim it back in one way or the other. I don't believe that a one man, one vote system will enable us to reclaim the SOUL of Ghana back but only COUP D' ETAT.

We need to fix our sanitation problem with proper education and law enforcement. Ghana's capital Accra,is gradually developing into a modern city and we cannot allow the kind of filth and stench that fills the air to continue. Many of the slums will have to give way for modern city planning. Many of the local or native dwellers will need help and by govt. to build clean and affordable new homes in efforts to have them relocate.
