Please stop wasting time. What is negotiating table? Ask the two parties to bring out the court decisions on the land and you will know who is trespassing. The case has gone as far as the Supreme Court. The same party won all the cases except one which even quashed by a higher court. The losing party was even asked to atone tenancy which it did for a number of years but unilaterally decided to stop and resort to arms because it had acquired the technology to manufacture guns locally. That is where all this fighting started in 1983. There is only one solution to this problem. Not an inch of land will be ceeded to the aggressor, believe you me. Stop wasting time and ask the two parties to bring their papers. Thank you.

Do you know the number of times the same party has won the same court cases? We would be living in complete chaos in this country if your position is to hold. Is this why Alavanyos have disregarded the court judgments ad continue to manufacture guns and continued to kill Nkonyas? So is that what the Lodonu and Buame Committee agreed to?That Koranteng J. was bribed so the court decisions should not stand? Real Bishops in deed. How come all of a sudden, the people of Nkonya have been armed with AK 47s and lots of ammunition? Dr. Kwabena Adjei, NDC Chairman who is also a citizen of Nkonya should tell us how and where his people got all these weapons that is meant for the Ghana Armed Forces if he is not behind their supply?
With Dr. Adjei still the chairman of NDC and a leading member of the government, there would be no peace in the area. In fact, the situation has gone worse as he is now swimming in tons of money to sponsor the on-going conflict.

Should this continue, we are bound to be labelled very primitive and backward people. Looks like now you lots are depriving yourselves of well deserved peace and tranquility. How will you work and feed yourselves from your land if you turn the land into battle grounds? Has there been any meaningful benefits from the repeated wars you fought in the past? If the answer is no, then I can assure you that there will be no good benefits from the current war("dafi")which is taking place. Now these things are depriving your community of education and it is affecting your productivity. So please my people I suggest you stop the war and think of peaceful co existence. It is because of people like you that this fight is not ending. Somebody is taking your land. You have been to court several times and won. The person continues to trespass and you are being told to come to negotiating table? Is this sensible? Have you ever read anything about the history of the case? Do not just jump in and make statements that have no bases. Think again.

The Government must respect court decisions. as for the so-called Mediation committee, it is only a ploy to bend the arms of Nkonyas. The intention of Dr. Buama and his colleagues is to set aside the court ruling instead of asking his Alavanyo friends to respect court decisions. Not an inch of Nkonyaland shall be ceded to the Alavanyos and any attempt to confiscate the land to the state will also mean that Government is supporting the Alavanyos to deprive Nkonyas of their livelihood. My question as always is how could Ewes (Alavanyos) who only recently in history migrated to the area have a dispute over land with Guans(Nkonyas) who as Guans are known to have been occupants of the area for centuries and are the ones who offered Alavanyos land to use after they Alavanyo)quarreled with another Ewe migrant group (Sovie). Both Ewe groups (Alavanyo and Sovie) are related and were part of the old westward migration of Ewe people from hunger and Agorkolis wicked reign. The Guan of Nkonya, Akpafu and so are known to have been owners of the land for centuries before the wetward migration of Ewes. If Alavanyos refuse to aknowledge these facts of history, then the landlords (Guans) have a right to drive them out, notwithstanding what theb heirs to the Franco/British colony say. The Guan states had been in existence for centuries before the German, British and French colonialists, ignorant of previous history of the area started giving Alavanyos (Ewes) the feeling they had land there where the Guans had been living for centuries before the Ewes and Europeans came. If the thieving Ewe Alavanyos will refuse to accept historical fact the original inhabitants, Nkonya Guans have a right to remove them from the land.

Reportage on happenings in the area has been one sided in favour of the Alavanyos, Why. If people can come to a community on motor bike, shoot a stranger and speed away what else would you expect the community to do. Sit down and whatch while they arm, come and sweep the community of its legitimate legacy, maybe Alavanyos would but Nkonyas would not.
