NIA while in a rush to issue the cards has still not resolved basic issues to enable stakeholders have confidence in the ID cards. In my opinion, NIA is still in the pilot stage of the project since many administrative errors, regulatory and legal requirements have not been resolved. This was a mass registration exercise and agents filled forms on behalf of applicants and many errors occurred in print and inputting of data due to long queues and in some cases negligence. Have applicants been given the chance to verify and correct information NIA is holding about them? Are there laws in place to protect the integrity and privacy of data? Please do your homework well.
