The planning, philosophy, and the entire electoral process were taken out of The Book of Reckless Incompetence.
It was reckless because of display of insensitivity towards a greater national concern over some aspects of repurcussion evidenced now before the Supreme Court. Imagine rising litigational cost to the nation, time wasted and , above all, the unwitty dragging of the nation to the fringes of eruption. Thank God, Ghanaians are politely tolerant even amidst the worst of suffering and circumstances.
The courts are partly to share the blame. When concerns of unpreparedness were raised over the adamant insistence to create the unneeded 45 constituencies at the time of national economic perils and uncertainties, in a blunt display of unforeseability, the courts handed the EC a license to wreckage.
We are experiencing a period of reaping the fruits of recklessness - a network of mismanagement running through the entire national spine. It was no secret that the nation was stunned at witnessing the most exuberant display of opulence during the 2012 election. While money flowed in the halls of party headquarters, aspiring candidates, holding positions of advantage, mounted a go-for-all spending spree from campaign coffers clearly siphoned from the public reserves with little compunction.
What baffles the mind is the unwitty over-celebration of the aftermouth of Prof Mill's death. The over-extended tour of the President with an entourage of pillaging arsenal did what no sane leadership of an impoverished nation would subject its citizens through : they spent the little money left from what was borrowed from foreign sympathizers on lavishness and meaningless tour under the pretext of thanking people for (I am yet to understand what) attending the funeral.
From this background it is safe to conclude that the courts, EC and the government are incompetent and reckless.

Didn't government vote enough money to carry out the election? Where is the money? I don't understand why EC has refused to pay for services rendered. This is insane!

It is very serious for the whole Commission overseeing the affairs of election that the Commissiom is not prepared to pay the allowances.

What about the permanant staff? And what happened to all the budgetary allocations it received for the exercise? I consider this situation a far more serious blemish on the otherwise outstanding record of achievement of Dr. Afari Gyan and his mamnagement team;and I would urge him to rectify this deplorable situation before his term expires!
