The funny thing that people are not paying attention to is how NPP had conduct herself with the galamsey fight. Mahama in opposition was urging the illegal miner to disregard all efforts being put in place by the ruling NPP government just for him to win power.
My question to Mahama is, where did he hear NPP countering the effort he is making to tackle galamsey, but in opposition, we saw videos of his men touring the galamsey area and instigating or urging the miners to keep on doing the illegal mining despite government effort to stop.
That is how dangerous and poisonous Mahama had polluted our political arena for him to win power. Furthermore, in opposition, anytime the president speaks, Mahama will counter as if Ghana has two presidents at the same time. Mahama is very greedy and that is why some people think that he killed Mills just to come to power.

What were the Inter-ministerial committee's recommendations in the fight against galamsey?
If indeed, baning of galamsey equipments were not part, then I won't hesitate to say, the galamsey fight is just cosmetics. If the root cause isn't dealt with, it's visious cycle of repeating same perceived solution to a problem that has never solved it.
So, NAIMOS will just arrest, seize and burn chanfangs? And they say they just realized to do the right things? They/government must refund the huge monies used in this 'cosmetic fight' against galamsey into the country's treasury. The politician will always play with our minds ..Huh!
