The Bekwai Homecoming Group has donated GH¢50,000 to the Bekwai Government Hospital to support the acquisition of essential medical equipment as the facility works towards attaining secondary (regional-level) healthcare status.
The donation was presented by executives of the Group, led by Joseph Osei-Owusu (Joe Wise), former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and former Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency.
The amount was drawn from the collective contributions of members of the Bekwai Homecoming Group, demonstrating the Group's growing focus on initiatives that have a direct and lasting impact on the municipality.
Receiving the donation, Dr Kwame K Agyemang, on behalf of the hospital, expressed appreciation to the Group for the support and said the contribution would help strengthen the facility's capacity to deliver improved healthcare services.
He also appealed to individuals, businesses, organisations and other groups to support the hospital's efforts to expand its capacity and serve the growing healthcare needs of Bekwai and surrounding communities.
The initiative reflects the Bekwai Homecoming Group's commitment to moving beyond the annual homecoming celebrations to support practical development projects that benefit the people of Bekwai.
