Laughable !-----I would say .--for that sound reasoning which use to support such application of our 'traditional rituals' to deter wrong "DO-ERS] from their anti -social activities --is ignored by these environmental Terrorist----CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY--is what these 'TRADITIONAL RITUALS ' serves to inculcate in a person ----but these days -greediness--ignorance - disrespect and abuse of power ---is the order of the day hence these fragrant destructive activities connected to GALAMSEY and its resultant GALAMSEY MENACE. Let us be reminded that those bad citizens also perform Traditional Rituals to support their anti-social ventures.-----The only way to effectively stop this Environmental degradation caused by the GALAMSEY MINING activities is for Parliament to enact a LAW to stop all small scale mining operations in the country for a foreseeable period -say some 5-6 years to allow our degraded/ devastated --Agricultural Land , Forest Reserves and polluted Water Bodies back to Life applying a serious National Tree Planting exercise . Violation of a such a BAN LAW must attract a serious penalty even death sentence by Firing squad . This measure is the only way left right now to stop this environmental Terrorists .Let the gold remain undisturbed in the ground until a safe responsible environmental friendly technique is designed to win the gold ---I must add that if Government wants to build its gold Reserves --Government should invest in Industrial Large Scale Mining , PLANT is LIFE , WATER is LIFE not the gold --WATER is PRICELESS not the gold. This is what I describe as beautiful NONSENSE. Chiefs and Queen mothers of these Village, Cottage and towns very often release lands and Forest to these galamseyers for a shear in the gold business and this has been going on for far too long for the citizens should know this and take matter of that much concern into their hands and deal drastically with all malice in chasing them out to save their respective environment. Instead they go performing rituals to gods as if they are living in a fools paradise in the jungle for no work done. Knowing these gods they made themselves which, can not see,hear,breath talk nor smell to save the river from pollution due to the galamsey.
