The Manhyia South Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Kwaku Asamoah, has made a passionate appeal to party faithful, delegates, and aspirants to set aside their internal differences and unite to secure victory for the party in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking to the media after securing a landslide victory in the constituency executive elections, Asamoah said the outcome of the polls represented a collective victory for the entire NPP family rather than any single faction.

He argued that what he described as the incompetence and economic mismanagement of the John Dramani Mahama-led administration had heightened public anticipation for the NPP's return to power under the leadership of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. He added, however, that this could only be achieved through unity and sustained grassroots mobilisation.

"We need to all come together as a single entity. Following this election, our topmost priority must be to unite under a common goal: rescuing Ghanaians from the hardships imposed by the NDC. Making Dr Mahamudu Bawumia president in 2028 depends entirely on our collective hard work," the newly elected chairman said.

Asamoah also cautioned victorious candidates and their supporters against teasing or mocking their defeated opponents. Instead, he urged them to extend an olive branch to those who lost to help foster unity within the party.

"I encourage all who did not win to put the past behind them and come on board. To the winners, this is not a time for mockery. We need every single person on our team to successfully drive the Bawumia agenda," he noted.

He concluded by expressing gratitude to the delegates of Manhyia South for giving him and his executive team what he described as a resounding mandate, promising to lead an open-door and welfare-driven administration.

Endorsing the chairman's call, a leading NPP member in Manhyia South, Akwasi Yeboah, popularly known as Rojer Miller, congratulated the newly elected executives and reiterated that internal contests should not create lasting divisions.

Describing the elections as a family contest, Yeboah urged members to refrain from actions that could alienate defeated aspirants.

"Our real opponent is the NDC, not our fellow party members. We must completely stop the mockery. It is time to merge our strengths and fight for our common purpose, which is delivering a decisive victory for the NPP in the 2028 elections," he stated.
