The last time there was consistent and uninterrupted water supply , was When NDC was in power . In 2017 , once a week water rations started with no specific reason(s) given till date. The town was divided into zones, so that each zone could received their once a week supply. The excuses vary from population increase , equipment issues, and believe it or not , conflict between the politicians in charge was also responsible for a large part of the water shortage . The water managers have also blamed money to power up the major pumping machine responsible for the high pressure delivery to all parts of town.
How does a town go from , 24/7 supply of water , to almost once weekly , if youre lucky . There have been periods where people have gone months without water and the incompetent Water department wasnt at all bothered .
It'd be interesting to see
1. A history of repair and maintenance logs for the pumping machines.
2. Usage logs of these pumps for the last 10 years
3. Number of new meters or subscribers they claim are overwhelming the system and what plans have been made in the last 10 years to resolve the existing issue , while prepping for future subscriber increases .
This demonstration is a step in the right direction , but it would be for nothing if the organizers do not sit up and send an RTI request to every institution or stakeholder involved . This way , they cannot blame other people for their inactions and incompetence . These people draw salaries and should be held to account.

OSEI Yaw, read the story well for your comprehension. GWCL exists but the machines could be obsolete and needs replacement. Stop the stupid politics
