Firefighters from multiple stations battled a significant industrial fire outbreak in Prampram on May 1, 2026, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed.

In a social media update posted on May 1, 2026, the GNFS disclosed that personnel from the Prampram, Devtraco, Ashaiman and Tema Regional Headquarters fire stations had been deployed to contain the blaze.

According to the statement, additional fire appliances were also dispatched to the scene to support efforts and prevent the fire from spreading further.

While details about the cause of the fire and the extent of damage remained unclear, emergency responders worked intensively to bring the situation under control.
