A massive blaze has engulfed a warehouse belonging to retail giant Melcom Ghana in the Tema Free Zones Area.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in a statement on Facebook confirmed that personnel were swiftly deployed to battle the flames.
About 10 fire engines were on site to work tirelessly to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to nearby facilities.
To bolster the effort, water tankers from local assemblies were brought in, as thick smoke and towering flames continue to pour from the warehouse.
The GNFS added that the cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations have already begun to determine what sparked the outbreak.
Meanwhile, no injuries were reported during efforts to douse the fire.
