There is difference between Northerners and Muslims. Many Northerners are Christians and Muslims live in Zongos and most often are people of foreign descent, Togo Mali,and other West African countries

As a Seventh Day Adventist, I was allowed into homes to educate and preach Christianity so long as I didn’t speak to derogate Islam. It may surprise some people to hear that many Moslems that I got acquainted with read the Bible and respected that the Koran came from the Bible. The name of Issa who is Jesus is mentioned more than Mohammed in the Koran. Why can’t we respect the religion of other people even if we disagree with their beliefs.

Hausa is the language of Zongos, introduced by Hausa moslems from Nigeria. Zongo is a Hausa word. Most northerners don't speak hausa and when they do it is different from the Zongo one. Dagombas ,Walas and mamprusis have large Muslim populations. All the other more 50 tribes are mostly, I believe, Catholics. It is comforting to be ignorant.

Let us people to worship in their own ways so long as they don’t infringe upon the basic Human Rights of the People.
