Whatever necessitated the police take over of the palace,I think still hasn't bn resolved, hence the police still occupying the place,so on what bases and grounds are the chiefs issuing warnings and threats to the IGP?I don't think the police occupation is for no reason, the palace is so beautiful and so the IGP has assigned his men there to watch over it for him as his personal property, they won't allow the police to do their work, but will want to run to them again when things gets out of their hands after they've bn handed the place.

I don’t think that the Police are that senseless to just occupy the Palace of the Chief. They might have certainly occupied the Palace to prevent some stupidities from going on at the place It is just nonsense to give the Police such an ultimatum. If the IGP refuses to vacate the Palace but brings reinforcements from Koforidua, Kumasi and Accra, can the Chief withstand them? And with what Arms? Let the Police refuse and let us see what the Chief can do The chiefs of the country respect the honor given them.

The Kwahu people showed Ghana what’s expected of a leader. The kingmakers destooled their Omanhene for bringing the name of the Stool into disrepute by engaging in acts of corruption as board chairman of ADB.
The proud people of kwahu expect their Omanhene to be beyond reproach and conduct himself in such a manner that no one would even suspect that he is capable of stooping low. That’s not too much to ask.
The same kingmakers determined that by engaging in such corruption at the bank, he has lost their respect and is no longer worthy of the position of Omanhene.
How come the eastern region house of chiefs and the IGP want to impose him on the people?
The position is not a political appointment which is nearly always used to amass corrupt wealth. Every corrupt political appointee gets away with it. That has become the norm in Ghana. Corruption is now a badge of honour?
What’s the IGP going to do now? Is he going to replace the kingmakers?

Our traditions require our chiefs to be like Caesar’s wife. Caesar’s wife was suspected of having an affair with a young man. Even though a committee of elders found her not guilty, Caesar still divorced her. Caesar’s ground for divorce was that she obviously didn’t conduct herself in such a way that the ordinary person could say that she was beyond suspicion! How could Caesar’s wife be suspected of having an affair?
How could the Omanhene of the proud and decent people of Kwahu conduct himself in such a manner that he is suspected of being corrupt? That is the standard of the king makers. That standard is beyond the standard of proof beyond reasonable doubt! The court can find him not guilty. Does the court have a stool for him somewhere where he can be chief according to the court’s standard?
My question is, shouldn’t he be hiding his ignominious head in shame? Why is he jumping up and down and carrying on and drawing attention to himself and the shameful episode?
In this Ghana where we have lost all sense of propriety and where one can continue to be the national security minister after being exposed on the internet by a slay queen wearing pyjamas, it is refreshing to know that the Kwahu people still have their standards.

The IGP and the Regional Minister must respect the wishes of the good people of Kwahu. They need to understand that a corrupt chief has been destooled and and can never be re-enstooled. The IGP and the Regional Minister's actions are tantamount to total disrespect of the people of Kwahu. President Mahama needs to intervene immediately to avoid bloodshed and the people of Kwahu's loss of confidence in NDC. I am from Kwahu and ardent supporter of NDC but I am becoming very worried for the consequences of these actions from the government.
