The ministry of health must give extra incentives to doctors who are posted to these under deserved areas. They must receive higher salaries together with other incentives to make it attractive to accept these postings. Moreover these medical facilities in these areas must be equipped with modern amenities so that doctors posted to these regions may not lack what it takes to provide quality care to their patients. The ministry of health must introduce rotational services where doctors are posted to these areas for specified duration and then moved to other areas to make it fair in the postings.

The fact is that even those doctors who were sponsored by their various Assemblies to pursue their medical courses in the northern regions have refused to go back to serve their people. The few from the South who went there were not treated fairly. This is not only in the medical field. In some districts, those in the political helm of affairs would bypass a 'kaboña'(a Southner) who is actually the director and deal with his junior officer who is from the North. There is, therefore, little administrative order, my brethren. Pontus Pilatus asked Yesu, 'What is truth?' I say the truth.
Look, aside those hurdles mentioned ut supra which forces these staff to abandone post by sojourneying outside Ghana, some simply drift downsouth at all cost. Casting examples will prolong the story thereof.
Of course, other factors may include the dearth of accommodation, good drinking water, electricity, etc.
Heh! my friend, let's get these doctors and nurses good accommodation and an environment devoid of discrimination and these workers would stay and work.
Get these staff who have agreed to work up North reshuffled in a spate of three to four years with their counterparts in the South and the magic wan will work. I will not write any theses here, Mr Minister. The truth is the truth. Remember Pontus Pilatus vs Yesu Kristo.
