I'm wondering, how can swallowing an artificial tooth cause throat cancer? Cancer is caused by harmful chemicals that harm your cells DNA at the molecular level, causing uncontrolled growth. If an artificial tooth could cause cancer, it would do so long before you swallow it because it is in your mouth night and day, releasing the carcinogen into your body. Physical injury or trauma does not cause cancer.
