  I am not sure why we have this ministry at all. Our traditional leaders must be forced to go back to their traditional roles. They should be stopped from politics otherwise we can safely say bye bye to the chiefs.

  Not long ago, in our towns and villages, chiefs and their elders oversaw community work and development. They supervised the rules that govern the community and made sure that at least once a week, there was a general cleaning exercise where you were not allowed to go the farm. There was a real sense of community and togetherness, peace and tranquility in our towns and villages. But once they entered politics and accepted bribes from the national government, and got themselves involved in galamsey business, all respect the their roles are diminished, rendered their communities ineffective. Chiefs must be chiefs and not politicians.

Chiefs should not be given the power to prescribe any punishment they feel is deserving of an offense. The chiefs can be corrupt and abusive and we must be careful with them when putting power into their hands

Assembly and unit community members elected by the people are already doing that. If they don't do that well they will be voted out. Why do we want to be saddled by some royal family chosen by our ancestors and the colonisers and all of sudden they want to be superior to the people we elected.

  NPP government are really foolish. Whiles your developmental partners have moved away from monarchical governance, you IMF don’t seem to have enough of oppression.
