Why should the state be involved in this menstrual hygiene matter as a once a year event? Shouldn't the emphasis be on educating mothers rather, who are best placed to teach their daughters menstrual hygiene on a permanent basis?

What is the benefit in celebrating "Mothers' Day" with pomp and pageantry if mothers cant even teach their daughters menstrual hygiene? We reduce everything in Ghana to joke and also to gain political mileage with no permanent effect.

Is another avenue for "chop-chop" If they mention the amount of money allocated into that programme; hmmmmm......the girls know all these basic menstrual health, what is important is scraping some taxes from the sanitary pads so it will be cheap for easy accessible for all. More so, if u are a mother and your daughter has reach certain stage and as a mother u are unable to teach her these basic things pertaining their menstral health, then what is ur essence as a mother
