I support 100% the opposition to this unwholesome renaming. In fact, I found unwholesome all the renamings too. Ephraim Amu was a great pioneer in music and defending our cultural heritage, but I don't believe that this is the way to honour him posthumously. Moreover, there is no way he can be put above the name Ho, which also deserves the merit to bear that name in the technical university. Ho has come to reprsent more than the capital of the Asogli. It's now the capital of the whole VR. Disrespecting Ho or lowering the image of Ho, is disrespecting or lowering the image of the whole VR. I don't think anyone person is higher than the community he or she comes from, and so his/her names should be elevated over a town or country. Amu was a very proud Voltarian, and I believe, in his humble and modest nature, would be the first to oppose this nonsense. I look forward to the NDC under Mahama reversing all those renamings. He must be ruthless in doing that.
