Not all our cultural practices are bad. I don't know why we (Ghanaians ) always put ourselves in front of world issues. Underage marriage is not common in Ghana. Compared to the Arab world. But nobody talks about it . CNN fox algezeera and the rest. All of a sudden Ghana is infront of this issue. Damnnn. Ministry of information what the fck are you doing ? Accra is the capital of Ghana . GA people are the most westernized TRIBE In Ghana.( iam not a Ga.). They're the last tribe in Ghana who will do such a thing. Our cultural traditions will always supersede our constitution: where such practices don't result into bloodshed, cruel and unusual punishment or extortion. In Ghana, we have tolerated the coexistence of our cultural beliefs with those of foreign religions. This accommodation cannot be misconstrued as a willingness to forsake the things that define us, as indigenous people of Ghana. Some Ghanaians have even taken it to the extreme of bleaching themselves to look like a Whiteman. This is a health hazard. What is the Ghana Ministry of Health saying about this? Where is it stated in the Ghana Constitution that, the people shall be free to use dangerous chemicals to change their GOD given identity? How can the government correctly identify and trace them to their ancestral homeland. In Ghana, certain diseases run through tribal and ancestral lineage. They are healed only by traditional healers. If we can change our identity with chemicals, and obscure our identity: any such disease will go undetected. We can needlessly become a contagion to the general population. Another case in point: Are we going to start prosecuting Ghanaians who give their children tribal marks? LET GHANA BE GHANA! WE ARE NOT GOING TO CHANGE GHANA TO PLEASE FOREIGNERS. AFTER ALL, THEY ARE INTRUDERS. THEY CAN LIVE IN OUR MIDST, BUT WE CAN'T LIVE WITH THEM. THEY ARE FREE GO BACK TO WHEREVER THEY CAME FROM.
