In Ashanti parlance, they say some people are growing horns. Nobody in the Ghana can close down a radio station, not even the people who invented the radio transmitters. Only the NCA can authorize closure of a radio station in Ghana. It is even against the (FCC) Federal Communications Commission regulations in the USA for a radio station to be silent for a number of days usually 30 days. In some cases, if there is a fault it must be fixed in 3 minutes.
To banish a business in your community is a bad signal to potential investors. So it is better to be circumspect about your utterances.

Ashanti have their traditions so they can go that route but closing a radio station is not their job. Wontumi fair and squarely disrespected Otumfuo but we should not use another illegality to resolve the matter. Ghana is a constitutional state.
