At least four persons, including two drivers, have died in a gory accident on the Adidome-Sogakope highway leaving two others with severe injuries.

A Vibe vehicle with registration number GE 5684-16 which was travelling from Ho to Sogakope with two persons on board, collided with a Toyota Carena with registration number GW 5171-Z which was travelling from Keta to Ho with five persons on board.

The collision happened around 8: 40 a.m.

The two survivors have been rushed to the Sogakope Hospital.

An eyewitness, Denis Kpoha, told Class91.3FM’s Volta Regional correspondent Albert Kuzor in an interview at the scene that the accident came about when the driver of one of the two vehicles attempted stopping to collect from the middle of the road a sack load of goods which had fallen from the roof of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, at least two persons have been confirmed dead with several others sustaining various degrees of injury when a VIP bus from Accra to Bono crashed into a parked faulty articulated truck at Asuboi on the Accra to Kumasi highway early Friday.
