The Ghana Education Service (GES) has warned that it will not tolerate any form of examination malpractice in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The Deputy Director-General of GES, Professor Smile Gavua Dzisi, gave the warning during an unannounced visit to some examination centres in the Ashanti Region.
Professor Dzisi, who was accompanied by the Regional Director of Education, Dr. William Amankrah Appiah, expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exams so far.

She, however, cautioned that any individual or group found engaging in activities contrary to the rules of the exams will face severe consequences.
The GES Deputy Director-General encouraged candidates to rely on their studies rather than seeking leaked questions or resorting to cheating.
She also urged teachers and invigilators to maintain integrity and avoid interfering with candidates during the exams.
Dr Appiah echoed Professor Dzisi’s sentiments, condemning examination malpractice and calling on all stakeholders to uphold integrity throughout the WASSCE period.
