Chiefs and people of Beposo organize fund-raising

Beposo (Ash), April 10, GNA - The chiefs and people of Beposo in the Sekyere West District realized 100 million cedis at a fund-raising harvest on Easter Sunday in aid of a community centre and the establishment of a senior secondary school. Mr Owusu-Ansah praised the chiefs and the people for coming together in the spirit of love, unity and friendship to organize such a durbar with the view of generating funds for development. Dr K.K. Sarpong, Chief Executive Officer of Tema Oil Refinery who was the guest speaker, appealed to parents to invest in their children's education.

Nana Boamah Kwabi IV, Omanhene of Beposo, described the water problem in the town as very serious and appealed to the government to speed up the water project for the town. He appealed to the Sekyere West District Assembly to ensure that Messrs Alsarp Limited, the contractor working on the construction of a block of six classrooms for the Beposo Local Authority Primary School did quality work.
