1992 year group of Nkawkaw Senior High School donates to library

The 1992 year group of the Nkawkaw Senior High School has donated books worth GHC 9,000.00 to the school, to improve academic activities.

The donation also formed part of the group's social responsibilities to ensure, that the school's library was transformed into a modern electronic facility to aid effective teaching and learning.

Presenting the items to the school, Mr. Kingsley Addae Frimpong, the Coordinator of the year group disclosed that, plans were far advanced to adopt the school's library to help upgrade it.

He said the group would continue to implement measures that would help to address some of the current problems facing the school.

He noted that, the 1992 year group was ready to support the school by donating more items to the benefit of the students in the school to enable them have access to quality education.

He said the reputation of any educational institution depended upon good results, investments and co- curricular activities, hence the donation.

Mr Addae explained that every institution required a vibrant Alma Mater that would be of support and encouragement to the institution's reputation and progress.

He entreated the National Past Students Association to put in systems and structures that would ensure proper coordination and support for the young ones currently in school.

He mentioned the need for the school to strengthen coordination and collaboration with the association through the establishment of an Alumni Office on the school's premises.

"Today, we find ourselves doing well in our various fields of endeavours. We have all classes of professionals among us and our successes are attributed to the strict disciplinary training and upbringing from KAWSEC" he stressed.

Mr Addae therefore urged the executives of the association to empower the year groups to embark on intensive membership drive to help solve the many challenges facing the school.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Madam Habiba Bakari- Soale, the Assistant Headmistress in Charge of Academics thanked the year 1992 year group for the gesture and entreated the other year groups to emulate the kind gesture.

She assured that, the books would be used for its rightful purpose.
