Nikki Samonas wins Supreme African Actress of the Year at SDTA Awards

Nikki Samonas aka Nikoletta Samonas Wins Supreme African Actress of the Year at Supreme Dynamic Talent Academy Awards 2023, for her role in ‘All walks of life’ series. Nikki ‘s win, makes her the first Ghanaian woman to win a lead-actress category in the SDT Academy Awards’ 3-year history, as she succeeds Nigeria’s Tana Adelana.

After a long Supreme African Actress of the Year, SDTA Awards race, Nikki Samonas, an accomplished Ghanaian Actress, Presenter, Model and Director, has clinched her first SDTA Awards Black & Golden Laurel, as she was crowned the victor.

The Ghanaian and Greek actress was nominated in a stiff competition with some other African film industry bigwigs from selected African countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Namibia and Sierra Leone. At the 3rd SDTA Awards on the 20th of December 2023, Nikki Samonas – the formidable Ghanaian actress, who gives an electrifying impressive performance in All Walks of life, was named Supreme African Actress of the Year at the star-studded Event, held at the La Palm, Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana.

If one were sitting in the audience, a neck spasm would be impending with all the turning and trying to spot the celebrities, diplomats and other dignitaries While trying to catch all the fun on stage, from musical performances to Cultural dance, to poetry etc, It was indeed a night of glittering performances, tickling humor, glasses of champagne, glitzy outfits, plenty of nerves and humble gratifications, as some very iconic names won some very prestigious awards and others were recognized in special categories.

All Walks of life is a Series which is co-created by Access Bank and Emerge Advertising, which puts a microscope on the unavoidable relationship between people from every social bracket in society, what everyday life looks like for the typical Ghanaian and tackles social, economic and various life topical issues.

This SDTA Awards category is awarded to an African Actress, for her Supreme performance in a leading role in the African cinema or Dramatic Series for outstanding talent and remarkable achievements, whose works has distinguished her over the last 12 months, dominated the industry and made impact within the African continent or globally and portrayed supremacy.

ABOUT NIKKI SAMONAS

Nikki Samonas was born on 5th September 1985 to a Ghanaian mother and Greek father. She is popularly known as Nikki Samonas, albeit, her real name is Nikoletta Samonas. She was born in Tema, Accra, Ghana. Nikki had her primary education in Desk International School in Tema. She later proceeded to Holy Child High School for her senior education. There, she majored in visual arts. Later on, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Television production from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Her main focus was on editing and animation.

Nikki is an accomplished Presenter, Model, Actress and Director. Nikki Samonas initially rose to fame in the Year 2005, It is during this year that she featured in ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ TV Series, The TV series was produced by the creators of “Things We Do for Love” , in which she also starred. After her role in ‘things we do for love’ , she landed her first lead role in ‘Beyonce the President’s Daughter’, a famous remarkable movie. After her role in ‘Beyonce the President’s Daughter’ , she has taken up the leading role in various movies where she has been amazeballs. Throughout her career, Nikki has acted with top actors from across Africa.
