Action Movement of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has accused the former first lady, Lordina Mahama and the siblings of former President John Mahama of being the cause of NDC defeat in the 2016 elections. The spokesperson of the group, Kodzo Hamenya Keglo speaking at the Ghana International Press Centre said “while JM was preaching made in Ghana goods (such as shoes, batik and locally made clothes), the wife was doing the opposite by printing T Shirts from China which is a huge disappointment for Ghanaian printing companies.The 20 million pieces of T Shirts JM’s wife printed from China, could have been shared to party members to print them locally and would have created a lot of jobs for Ghanaians.”
JM’s brothers are the main reason why we lost the 2016 elections, collecting all contracts from Airport, Roads, Cocoa Board, GNPC, ECG , VRA, Ministry of Power and all major contracts in the country.“If you don’t see JM brothers, you cannot get a contract and if you see them, then you have to pay money before you get the contract, frustrating foreign contractors and companies by taking Ghanaian contractors for granted and creating enemies for the NDC party,”

The woman in question in South Dayi District is the opposition NDC member and will not be accepted today or tomorrow by the party faithfuls and the people in the area. This woman ( Ella Boateng) is a known long time fiancée of Mr Philipo Datti our (NPP) Regional Communication Director who is championing her choice at all cause. A day before the Assembly Election, this woman was seen in the company of (Deafeamekpor NDC MP for area)and Dr Kwame Ampofo(former NDC MP for the area) campaigning for her and giving each Assembly member 1000gh cedis. On the date of the Election ie 12th May,2017, the NDC Youth Organizer, the MP(NDC), Dr Kwame Ampofo (NDC) convincing the Assembly members to vote for her. Even, most of the chiefs in the area are against her.

Ella Boateng the President nominee for the DCE position in the South Dayi District is an NDC member and a long time fiancée of Mr Datti Philipo, NPP Volta Regional Communication Director who is influencing her choice at all cause. This woman presented our party's membership card dated 2007. Meanwhile, she applied to be DCE 2009 when the late president Mills took over power from us in the 2008 elections. We have all the documents to prove this. On the 12th May,2017, during the Assembly's election to approve her nomination, most of the NDC constituency executives including the NDC MP for the area were seen seriously campaigning for her.All the constituency executives except the Research Officer are stating the Madam Ella Boateng is not our member. The main elders and financiers on which the party is revolving in the District are saying the woman is an NDC member but a fiancée of Mr Datti Philipo ( a member). Notable among the elders include; Justice I.N.K Wuaku and Dr Bansah. Can all these people deceive the President? Mr Datti Philipo is trying to sell the Soul of the Party (NPP) in the South Dayi Constituency to NDC just for his selfish ambitions. The president must investigate the South Dayi District case in particular very very well else he is going to appoint a " Trojan Horse" who will succeed in destroying NPP in the area if Ella Boateng is appointed.
