The problem is that the players do not respect our local coaches, hence 2014 world cup. and the players have to stop all this sub-groups within the camp. It is hurting all of our efforts.

Putting 20 names down and asking the public to vote will be like the Eurovision song contest with political voting, neighbours voting for each other, tribalism, racism etc. I go with the GFA committee but there is a secret member of that committee, the GNPC ! They are the ones paying the wages of the coaches and what they want will have a strong influence on the committee.

Is this guy serious??!! Most Ghanaian fans, despite being very passionate about the game, have a very poor understanding about the intricacies of the game, what it takes to win consistently, and a coach's role should be. As far as I can remember, these fans have incessantly insulted our coaches and run them out of town for failing to win EVERY match. And as far as I can remember there have been two schools of fans, one group passionately pushing for a local coach while the other group similarly have pushed for a foreign coach, with each group totally ignoring key factors such as competence, experience, cost, and the coach's understanding of the Ghanaian game. In my opinion having a selection committee guided by a set of criteria is the way to go. Entrusting the fans with the responsibility of selecting our national coach is a recipe for disaster, kind of like having the inmates run the asylum.

Kwesi Appiah is not the right person for the Black Stars. We saw him at AFCON 2013 in South Africa and the World Cup in Brazil where he proved to be clueless in difficult situations. Ghana was not playing to any set formation and the demeanor of Kwesi anytime the Stars were under pressure was one of resignation to fate. Kwesi could not vary our game in anyway. In fact, he is a Mumu coach and Ghana does not need him. Those campaigning for him are doing a disservice to our football, and I can bet the we will have ourselves to blame if this man is appointed Black Stars coach. Ghana deserves better.

You might be living on Pluto. A respected coach? Risk taker? Oh yes, he took the risk of playing his second team so that when the opponents got tired, he would bring his best team. THE WORST COACH UNDER THE SUN.
