Yes in South Africa, Mandela didn't start the struggle against apartheid or white rule neither was he alone in the struggle but he is credited as the man responsible for the abolishing of apartheid and white minority rule. Same with George Washington of USA. He was not alone in the struggle against colonialism yet he is credited with the father of the nation. So in every nation even though there might be several people committed to a cause yet one becomes the icon or face of that cause. Kwame Nkrumah is the face of Ghana's Independence, take it or leave it. Akuffo Addo cannot rewrite history. If fact it will be one of his Waterloo if attempt it.
