It is strange a past president of the Ghana Bar Association is saying "You are guilty until proven innocent". Sam Okudzeto is a disappointment.

  • FORMER FOOTSOLDIER 7 years ago

Are they rather supposed to prove that they own their cars? I thought it is the alleger who provides the proof? So I can also say you've stolen my car and the onus will lie on you to prove your innocence, right?

  • Eric Mintah -London 7 years ago

If i am the Police yes. you have to prove to the police you own the car if you are asked. The police might have the details, but they will like to know if you are the true owner or an impostor. This is what the police do in a ...

What kind of stupid mentality is that. You are searching for your car you have proof to me the car is your property and not me. Who is supposed to proof what.

  • Adam Husein 7 years ago

If you are the bonifide owner who bought it legally, it is easy to prove your ownership. Those who bought it through illegal means will argue contrary to Mr. Sam Okudzeto.

  • King Yobo 7 years ago

Sam Okudzeto did not sound like a lawyer in this case. He is been political. Where in his law books that the accuser is rather the one to prove ownership? Especially when the person already has a title to the vehicle.

  • Nii Akwei 7 years ago

I totally agree with you. To make a long story short, produce your papers on the vehicle if you are rightful owner when asked by law. If the Govt agency suspects, I am driving a govt vehicle they have the right to ask for doc ...

Govt must provide evidence from DVLA that the vehicle in dispute belongs to the state. It looks like most of our people just have big names to throw about but know nothing.

  • not a begger 7 years ago

Both ways work. If you accuse me stolen your car and I know the car is mine, I will just prove you wrong by providing the document. That's all .
