I don't believe Ghanaians would like to relive the suffering and frustration they went through during Mahama's administration. Mahama cannot win any more votes than he did in 2016 elections, even if the economy gets worse under Akufo Addo's regime. NDC will have a hard time convincing Ghanaians that Mahama II will be any different from Mahama I. NDC should start nurturing a new presidential candidate and let go Mahama. The easiest accomplishment any president can achieve is to secure foreign loans and use them for INFRASTRUCTURE building.However,in the end a president will be measured by how he improved the standard of living of his people, something Mahama failed woefully. NDC, please get it and start looking for a new presidential candidate. I believe there are a lot of good options around.

In simple terms, you take your ex gratia for the four years of service. BUT for MPs, they could return to contest in the next elections without any limit.
However, Mahama has another term for the presidency. eg if he contests again in 2020 and wins, then he reaches a mandatory two terms and cannot contests again.
