We all know power corrupts an it corrupts absolutely. Incumbency in politics breeds arrogance and corruption no matter where the politics is practiced. In our sphere of politics, where checks and balances are perceived as witch-hunting by those in power and their supporters, the proclivity of politicians indulging in unseeingly activities soars.
Remember the NPP was in power for eight years and we all know what happened to the show of opulence and arrogance that became their hallmark. I was also puzzled by the condemnation of the infrastructure that Mahama built. LORD HAVE MERCY ON US. When did infrastructure for a country became an albatross? It’s true the halo of impudence emitted by the NDC was so blinding the good people of Ghana could not take it any longer, hence they were shown the magenta.
Let’s pray the incoming government appoints patriots to handle our affairs. The hungry lions are however waiting to strike.

The arrogance , bellicosity and belligerence of some of its young leadership must be removed. Subliminally these behaviors fan divisiveness and hard wire ethnocentric perceptions that create insecurities and feeling of marginalization in the populace. Real or not most Akan feel marginalized in an NDC administration and Ewe/north in an NPP administration . Reason for the Prez-elect assurance that he will be president for all.
The likes of Anyidoho, Adams, Ablakwa, Kwetey, Nkansah, Kwakye, Boamah roles must be retired in the NDC and replaced with softer image personalities .NDC must offer issue based alternative policies to all Ghanaians and eschew politics of insult. The NPP has done a good job of becoming a national party by winning seats in all regions. If they consolidate, the NDC will slowly decline. NDC must work hard to be a viable opposition.
