The fees are just too prohibitive. And after such high fees, one thing is for sure: politicians will quickly reimburse their expenses by stealing from the public purser. Politics then become a merry-go-round of you steal while in power; I will also grab more on my turn. And Presidents are reduced to receiving bungled Ford gifts.
The saddest part is that, ordinary poor Ghanaians become cogs in this manipulative wheel called electoral democracy, but are not aware that they are been used as they become intoxicated by the whimsical promises of the politicians.
