What if the one who is voting by proxy is incapacitated at the time and can not go in person to pick the forms, or is out of the country at the time? In most European countries you receive your voters card (automated after you become 18) and all you have to do is write the full name of the person you give your proxy to at the back and that person presents it at the poling station to receive 2 instead of 1 card to write the vote on. Simple democratic and no hassle to anybody. please don't turn voting into something where your life depends on with silly things like mr Afenyo does.
