Two businessmen investors from Dubai , also representing a group of investors came to Ghana for a gold transaction and for other investment projects.
Friday afternoon , at a well known refinery in East Legon "Italtech refinery, men in uniform swarmed in THE REFINERY and robbed 4kg of assayed and smelted Gold worth 160,000 usd. After payment in the refinery , gold was always in the possession and in the hands of the investor. Men in uniform swarmed in from East Legon police station and attacked the investors .
The investor and his partner were assaulted and quickly put to the floor and were immediately detained at Police Station in East Legon. Friends , realized that the two had gone missing and immediately alerted Accra Regional Headquarters.
The investors ,
followed every rightful procedure of purchasing gold. It was in a refinery and still got duped. Arrests have been made , and East Legon station police commander is being Questioned .
