When he returned from the trip after he lost the money, he did not tell either the president or the vice president about it. The case circulated through the grape vine till the president heard it. Even when the president called him and asked about it he denied it. It was later when he was cornered that he accepted that the money was gone. Even so, he did not accept responsibility for it. He vehemently protested that the money was stolen by his staff at the sports ministry. This was what brought up the trial. He is simply a thief!!!
