Splitting the vote among many like in Germany is the best leverage that can create prosperity for many.
Don't forget the very essence of elections, parties and democracy, liberty, equality and happiness to all.

Many have always considered a Ghanaian Prof equal to a messenger in Oxford or Cambrige. And nothing sensible comes from anyone with a title "Dr".

The NPP officially has two classes of membership. Ordinary and the elite. What is the lecturer talking about? Until the class is abolished, the ordinary members can contribute to the high heavens, they will be voiceless. This fund raising is meant to fatten the elite. Nothing less.

This is why I still can't fathom how the NPP could loose the elections after President Kuffour. In Ghana, the incumbent advantage is so rife that in order to be defeated, they must have run the economy so down much to the chagrin of the entire populace. This was not the case in the Kuffour administration... comparatively. So Kuffour's administration could be exonerated for not plundering state resources to their electioneering campaign, unless he cared less as most pundits believed back then.So companies do not necessarily finance campaigns in this country to enable them have influence on government. Governments award lucrative contracts to companies at inflated costs, differences are then paid back into the party coffers for future use.No influence. Just create, loot and share. Why does it cost at times 3 to 4 times to complete a project? Classic example: Bus re-branding saga.Does no one believe the difference went to the NDC? The company did not pay back after the court ruling. The NDC paid back.To be re-cycled later. So not until contracts are awarded in open fair competitive bidding, there will be no political influence by corporate entities. They will only need to "understand their language" when they come to power!
