One would have thought Wontumi will list the qualifications required for the post of an EC Chair and then use it to prove that the current EC Chair is not qualified because he lacks the requisite qualifications. Instead, he is talking about some meaningless thing he calls as, the EC Chair's ''biological country''.

"Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’ says the Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson, Charlotte Osei, is working not based on her qualification or experience but by the favour given to her by members of the NDC". SO SAYS THAT MAN, WHAT IS THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATION NEEDED TO FILL THAT POSITION?
THE CONSTITUTION OF GHANA.
CHAPTER SEVEN-REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE
(42) Right to Vote
Every citizen of Ghana of eighteen years of age or above and of sound mind has the right to vote and is
entitled to be registered as a voter for the purposes of public elections and referenda.
43(1). There shall be an Electoral Commission which shall consist of (a) a Chairman (b) two Deputy Chairmen; and (c) four other members.(2) The members of the Commission shall be appointed by the President under article 70 of this Constitution.
44 (1) A person is not qualified to be appointed a member of the Electoral Commission unless he is qualified to be elected as a member of Parliament.
(2) The Chairman of the Electoral Commission shall have the same terms and conditions of service as a Justice of the Court of Appeal.
(3) The two Deputy Chairman of the Commission shall have the same terms and conditions of service as are applicable to a Justice of the High Court.
(4) The Chairman and the two Deputy Chairmen of the commission shall not, while they hold office on the Commission, hold any other public office.
(5) The other four members of the Commission shall be paid such allowances as Parliament may determine
(6) If a member is absent or dies, the Commission shall continue its work until the President, acting on the advice of the Council of State, appoints a qualified person to fill the vacancy.
ARTICLE 70 (2) The President shall, acting on the advice of the Council of State, appoint the Chairman, Deputy Chairmen, and other members of the Electoral Commission.

I really pity the likes of Bawumia whose father fled from their fold after realizing their character in the 50s.
