If slogans were that important, CPP would still be in power. 'Ase3 ho' by the NPP was soon forgotten in 2008, and the party is languishing in opposition. A slogan is only effective if attached to an attractive and winnable candidate. With the sophistication and enlightenment of the Ghanaian electorate, slogans as ineffective as are positions on the ballot.

Oh Cpp,all these warnings erminating as a result of your desperation.During the Rawlings coup de tat,the members of CPP trooped to join the PNDC,the mother of NDC as if their saviour has come and most of them have remained there till now.My question is,what about the members constituted CPP party to join several other Partys like PNC,including the NDC who are still using your members to win elections and bashing themselves as the winsome parties in Ghana and for this reason, it would not be any problem if you would issue strong requests to all parties which have stolen your members which is the fundemental problem for the CPP as a party. The English phrase like Ghana would be--would not help you much. Please see to do the right thing first,ie,to get the CPPIANS back to your fold to have a formidable force to become a winning party.

My friend, the best thing that ever happened to the CPP was that the chjeap, greedy and dishonest ones amongst them all trooped to the NDC and what a good riddance it was. It is not these thieves that will make the NDC a winsome party. It is the lack of a strong leadership that will attract Ghanaians back to the CPP and so long as that has not happened yet, the CPP will not be able to win any election in this country.
As for the thieves who left, can you not see what they have done to this country? And you want them to return to the CPP? Be serious my friend.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people and that is the sad story of the CPP (Comatose People's Party).
I wonder what on this earth will ever resurrect this great party again. I have serious doubt if it will ever be vibrant again. My belief stems from the fact that the CPP of old, strive on the following:
(i) Nkrumah's charisma and selflessness
(ii) Nkrumah's unmatched developmental vision
(iii) the general believe in the common course of a nation and the ability of mobilise the citizenry to partake in the common course of the people.
Besides Rawlings, so far no one has showed that kind of Nkrumah's charisma. Also, Rawlings used to be selfless until that greedy arsonist bitch he calls his wife corrupted him.
Politicians don't believe in selflessness anymore. They go into politics to fend for themselves, families, and friends. This is no cynicism on my part. Even from the days of Nkrumah, people were looting and amassing wealth left, right, and centre. The Baakos, the Krobo Edusies, the Gbedemahs, and many more were all looters who set bad precedence that has corrupted people till this day.
The second point that I touched on was the unmatched developmental vision of Kwame Nkrumah. So far, no one has had even 0.00000000000001% of the kind of developmental vision that Nkrumah had. Haters will surely disagree but the evidence abound and is there as a testimony to the facts. Nkrumah was far way ahead of his generation and compatriots. Even in today's world, his ideas and ideals are still relevant, maybe with a few tweaks here and there.
The third and final point is the disinterest in common/communal good (public good). People no longer believe in doing stuff for the benefit of the larger society, without benefiting directly from their contributions. If they do, they want to make sure they "eat/chop" from it.
During the days of Rawlings' revolution, students in our universities left the lecture rooms and went to the hinterlands (kokoase paa) to carry cocoa from the farms to wherever there were stored. Ghana experienced a bumper harvest and exported more cocoa in those days. Those students did this single act selflessly, believing that they were engaged in a good course for the ultimate well being of their motherland. Unfortunately, something went wrong and the beautiful idea of nation building died on the Altar-of-Corruption. It was corruption that derailed our "Forward Ever March". This has been our sad and sordid story.
These days what you see is "Each One For Him/herself, God For Us All". Greedy and Selfishness have taken have taken over the air we breath. "To hell with altruism" seems to have gotten the better part of us. Apathy and Selfishness are the forces in play now.
Folks, do you remember this old Ghanaian saying? "Country broke, country no broke, we dey inside". Apathy and Selfishness.

The NDC is full of copy copy. They copied the Northern Development Authority and named it SADA. They gave SADA GH200million, and the money was shared among Roland Agambire, Alhassan Andani, John Mahama, Asiedu Nketia etc. The NDC said that they would turn the Jubilee House into a poultry farm. They changed the name to Flagstaff House and they are now working from there. Are they chickens? They also changed NYEP to GYEEDA and stole millions of Gh cedis belonging to the people of Ghana. The leaders in this scandal were Roland Agambire, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, John Mahama etc etc JJ Rawlings formed the NDC through a coup d'état which is stealing power from a democratically elected government. Stealing, lying, corruption etc are the main activities that the NDC is interested in.
