NPP failed woefully to make its case and majority of the groups maintained the voters register should not be changed, there were constructive views to this argument where NPP fumbled big time. It is based on the recommendations that the 5 panel made their report. Even parties that NPP claimed were in support of a new voters register came against it so it was clear NPP had no case. Even after the gathering NPP came out blaming each other for presenting a weak case. I followed the debate. Even when EC wrote to NPP asking them to add certain proves of foreigners on the register before that gathering they did not do so. Later they came blaming a secretary of their party office for failing to reply. The fact is that NPP is disorganized and well thinking people do not take them seriously.

It is very important that folks like this Korsah guy note our Courts are still open to take complaints for adjudication, and that violent demonstrations are not civilized or acceptable options to resolve Electioneering complaints.
The fact that Korsah does not seem to care to even to probe deeper to see how the EC would attempt the cleaning-up of the Register but jump to that farthest end of hinting violence to resolve the issue, tells all about him and his gang of vicious criminals now running the NPP.
The Party that has long established a reputation for being a strong advocate of rule of Law, and sold itself to the World as the most democratic in Ghana should not be courting violence as any form of solution to our Electioneering problems, let alone allowing its few fascist Officers to prioritize such savage means as the first and only option to resolve the issue.
I think the Parliament must immediately go to work to enact Laws that would make such instigation to violence punishable by hefty jail term. And Korsah should be immediately summoned by the Security Agencies to explain himself away better or face the Law.

(2) Irrationality - that the EC acted irrationally by avoiding existing legislation or stare decisis. (3) Procedural impropriety - the EC used the wrong procedure. The novice would like to play this in the court of public opinion. However, the EC has used legal authority to arrive at their decision. The NPP must go to court and seek a judicial review. If any the three is present, the court might consider their case. Otherwise, the case of new register is forever closed.

If those smaller parties changed their positions, it could be they were influenced by the NDC to do so for whatever benefits (God knows what). It seems to me a wise & competent EC will not side with the party that appointed her into her current position given the stakes involved in this matter. It's also on record that she stated her position openly before the 5-member panel she herself appointed! How on earth was she expecting the largest opposition party to accept the one-sided report? If the NDC thinks it has already weakened the NPP and can therefore bulldoze her way and rig the elections, it must think again! This is how civil wars begin! If a government is performing a little better, it can steal elections without war but when a government is performing so badly, even thoughts of stealing a general election can spark a revolution or civil war! If Mahama really wants peace for Ghana, he shouldn't even consider another term in office! He's simply a disaster!
