The NPP has always considered Northners as calculated instruments to paint a picture of a broad-based political party. They are not truly considered as equal partners in a putative "AKAN" party. The funny thing is that, even within the AKAN fraternity, there internal bifurcations between Ashantis and Akyems. And even with the Ashanti and Akyem groups, there are fine-lines of discrimination among family-related ties. In the short fall, NPP is not a party, but a conglomeration of talented litigants vying for ascendancy both from within, and from without. And Akuffo Addo is salivating at the sidelines.
Shame on NPP.

NPP will always note NPP, NDC will always vote NDC, no matter if the country is being pulled into the sea. NPP party does't have to convince anybody about their inborn perceptions of Akans. Most NDC people vote the way they do because they were born to hate Akans and there is nothing NPP party can do about that. If NPP is able to force a new voters register before the next elections, you will definitely see them in power. They form the majority in the country but they have been unable to win because of the EC/NDC evil electoral machinations. Why do you think NDC is fighting tooth and nail to prevent a new register? They know that a new register will be the end of NDC as we know it.

In fact the NDC is waiting for the campaign season to use Afoko's murder case against the NPP. The only way to redeem itself from being linked to it was to remove Afoko as chairman. Anyone who supports Afoko for being linked to the murder of Adams Mahama doesn't want to see the NPP win the elections. The NPP should educate Ghanaians about the need for change and the importance of everyone joining hands to ensure free and fair elections. The party should not dwell on chosing certain tribes people to win power. Party Chairman doesn't have to be from the north to ensure victory. It's time to remove Kwabena Agyapong too. His continued support for Afoko is making matters worse. I think people are saying that the NPP is tribalistic because Afoko has been removed while Agyapong still remains at post.
