Right but somebody like Bagbin it will be good if the voters retain him,we cannot throw all the experience ones away for new ones just for the sake a change.
All over the world a popular MP makes his constituency also popular and he can use that popularity to influence many things in the interest of the district, you were advocating for removal of Adjaho and now that he is the Speaker of parliament you don't hear of Akatsi/Avenor or Akatsi South as is now the case because the new MP is lost, you don't hear him say anything anywhere,I don't even know his name let alone others who don't follow politics that much knowing who the MP is,
change for the sake of it does not make sense,I don't care if all of them are changed but I care if Bagbin and a person like Harunah Iddrisu are changed.

Mugabe also has a lot of institutional memory but we are asking him to handover. What a flawed assertion.
In that case, lets leave President Mahama in place and change the constitution so he can stay on after his eight-year term.
How about putting a new person there with new ways of doings things and new perspectives?
Alban Bagbin has done his time. Any further stay in parliament will be to deny others a chance to contribute to the advancement of Nadowli Kaleo.
If he has not been able to transform Nadowli Kaleo over the 7 terms he has served in parliament, what can he do in an extra term?
Alban Bagbin needs to step aside otherwise his credibility will be questionable especially to those he has confided in that he will not be standing again. He has to be a man of his words despite calls from others with ulterior and selfish motives.
As he mentioned, Bagbin has mentored others who can continue where he left off.
He can still be relevant and effective as a member of the council of state.
We cannot leave everyone in parliament perpetually because of the organisational memory they posses.
As the saying goes, leave at your best. Doe Adjahoe and the rest left at the pinnacle and they shall continue to be revered for that.
Bagbin, learn from them and don't be selfish. Put the people of Nadowli Kaleo first. You have earned a place in the heart of Ghanaians. Don't wait to lose it before you leave parliament.
Indeed, we have a retirement age for a reason regardless of organisational memory.
It is the thinking that has left Africa so backwards; when leaders refuse to step aside after so many years in the position of leadership.
It will be a shame for the people of Nadowli Kaleo to be stuck yet again with Alban Bagbin for another 4 years. Bagbin has done his time. Now is the time to say goodbye.

The politics in third world Africa can be incredibly fascinating. Colleague NDC MPs lobbying for this cruel and heartless autocrat parading as Majority Leader in parliament. Not long ago we made direct reference to this attitude of gangsterism and mafiasm we term democracy in direct reference to an obvious plot to thwart and frustrate Dr.Ezenator Rawlings,a new entrant.I have in an earlier article remain adamant in my disposition that the NDC expanding its electoral college does not necessarily guarantee a free and fair election in the context of true democracy. My argument largely hinge on the fact that constituency executives and other party functionaries gang up to protect particularly old Mps like the decades old majority leader Bagbin. They form a tight iron clad around them for sake of mutual benefits trading power for cash and other goodies paid as bribes and inducements.A strong corruption web permeates particularly in constituencies in northern Ghana in which constituents are relatively uninformed and poor breeding a fertile ground for manipulation and monopoly by power drunk autocrats of the likes of Bagbin.Nevertheless, the worse form of autocracy is that of Mps who form an inner circle both intra and inter party to protect colleague Mps as cronies and business partners. There is nothing more undemocratic than NDC Mps trooping to Nadowli to lobby for a vicious, callous and heartless dictator who have murdered and maimed multitudes just to have stranglehold onto his seat.Bagbin diabolism and malice against potentially vibrant youth in upper west region extent beyond the corridors of Nadowli in an attempt to parade himself as the de facto president in the Upper West Region.A doctor from Tumu-Welembele currently fighting his case in the Human Rights Court is his latest victim of reckless acts of brutalities, sabotage and destruction on the alter of politics. If you can have the Majority Leader of Ghana parliament who can be so mischievous in conniving to dubiously implicate and subsequently sack a doctor from the Ghana Health Service as then Health Minister, with all letters copied to him to ensure his orders were carried out, then it is a worrying signal for somebody supposed to be the beacon of democracy and rule of law, more so when the doctor suffered persecution because he was vocal against corruption.Alban Bagbin executed this heinous and criminal act of aggression to;1.have stranglehold of the doctor's family land dubiously and illegally acquired for his extensive mango, cashew and maize plantations since he is the only educated member of the family.2.The doctor incurred the wrath of Bagbin because he was opposed to his 'Baby Girl'Alijata he imposed on Sissala East to be used as a tool to manipulate the constituency.Bagbin in fact is now the MP of Sissala East with the defunct Alijata a mere ceremonial Mp.Bagbin insatiable interest in Sissala East purely for selfish motives is ambly exemplified by the illegal and criminal acquisition of the very doctor's family land he orchestrated his dismissal from the GHS to continue his ruthless exploitation of the community's scarce resources and its inhabitants. If indeed election was genuinely democratic he would have suffered a crashing defeat in the NDC primaries in Nadowli/Kaleo long time principally because he is largely a hated and despicable figure by his own senseless iniquities of murder, torture and vicious destructive tendencies of people in upper west far beyond the borders of his constituency. Some of us can predict with relative accuracy that the NDC will lose the Nadowli/Kaleo Seat if there is any underhand manipulation to give Alban Bagbin an unfair advantage in the NDC primaries. The campaign against this callous and eccentric autocrat is huge.He himself knows he has stepped on too many toes and now paranoid and scared of losing his seat because he will be very miserable without his power as the 'Nadowli Mugabe' because relatives of those he has murdered in the quietness of darkness and those currently suffering inhuman torture in his hands are waiting to see his ending. The world in the eyes of Majority Leader Bagbin is about stolen power and wealth not humanity.Bagbin despite wearing an innocent face is a monstrous and dangerous character. He is a vampire in the dark pretending to be an angel during the day.
