The NPP is suffering because they have a leader who is intolerant of people who don't think like him. This is because h sees himself as so specially important and so he is oblivious to the fact that the people who gave him the mandate to be the flag-bearer of the NPP also gave others mandates to play varoius other roles in the party.
Instead of uniting the party behind a common agenda, Akufo Addo is busy eliminating those he perceived as not suitable for him- he considers such persons ar irrelevant to his quest to become president. Instead of positioning his party to be the obvious choice for all Ghanaians wherever they come from, he is busy alienating from himself Ghanaians who hail from certain parts of the country claiming that they are aliens. The acrimony in NPP is a true reflection of what Akufo Addo stands for. Not until after the era of Akufo Addo, NPP will always be a disjointed party.

I am a Voltarian who he has clasped to his bosom like a brother. The rift and challenges facing our party now goes beyond egos. It has to do with who handles the party coffers. There are some who think the party is their personal property and can dip into int anytime they feel like it with no accountability. They have, like gangsters, apportioned territories to the Chop Inc. There is a group responsible for making money out of ID cards. There are some who make their living out of per diems. These are monies that should resource the party. These gangsters want to continue the situation as it is. This does not ensure victory of us. Afoko wants victory. Which means monies in the coffers should be used for what it is meant for.

Akufo Addo can't even bring Afoko into his "government". Stranger, still, he seems unwilling or unable to forgive Kwabena Agyapong for any past wrongs. The guy is consumed by VINDICTIVENESS. He is likely to drown in vindictiveness. In the end he would have caused the IMPLOSION of the NPP. The earth will shake when the elephant crashes.

The NPP got the Ghana political system by the throat and they are not letting go because we all acquiesced to their blackmail.
How did we get where we are in Ghana when a party of presumed intellectuals is the one, the only ones, who can decide when Ghana can and cannot be governed? Hiding behind the skirts of foreign powers they gave us the 1966 coup which NPP love and are thrilled to talk about. Under Kufour the NPP got to use Ghana as an NPP piggy bank and flaunted its authority with impunity while they neutered the Judiciary which is now a mess and a disgrace.
Yes ego may be killing most of their aspirants but the NPP would not want it any other way. They like to pretend they are smart and can force changes in the Ghana’s civil society anytime they want. It’s a shame the rest of Ghana have deferred to the NPP to do all the thinking even when the NPP cannot find its own way out of a brown paper sack if their lives depended on it.
